Floating Pond Docks
Pond Docks:
I generally search online for images of real docks and then create some replicas out out of cedar for my garden pond.
Some of them I will just start building and see what happens, as with my latest covered dock, complete with a swim hole for the frogs and with planters on the deck.
I’ll have some more images up soon of various docks.
I also have a few ‘frog stands’ that I’ve built. They feature a lower wooden area that is somewhat submerged for the frogs to sit in. They can also hop on the outer rails to stay out of the water if they want. There’s a swim hole in the middle so they can come through that, or off the sides. It’s pretty cool, and the frogs like it =]

Here’s an image of the last one I put together. I wanted something that sort of looked like a floating pavillion. This kind of does it. This platform floats and has a center hole for frogs to hop out onto the platform. I also decided to put two mini planters on it, and stuck some dirt and some moss in it. I tend to not water as much as I should be, so the moss is sort of dying. The modified version 2.0 will include a planter box that is water level, so the water will constantly be moistening the soil to keep the moss alive.

Here’s a picture of a standard free floating dock in the hot tub.
